SYMBOLISM or HISTORY Turquoise is thought to be protection from the evil eye and prevents falls. It is a talisman for horsemen and is woven into their horse's manes for protection. It is a stone of purpose, bringing happiness to the wearer, can make friends of enemies and is symbolic of generosity and affection. Native Americans believe that turquoise offers protection to the wearer as well and if the stone gets a crack, it took the blow for you. Turquoise is one of the birthstones for December babies.
CONDITION Stones are in excellent condition. As this vintage ring was crafted by hand, there are slight variations in the bezels. Darkened patina in the recesses for contrast. We have lightly cleaned this ring but left most of the patina intact as many collectors prefer. The last photo is taken outdoors in natural light. Excellent, vintage condition.
