In its original, untouched blue, the slant lid accommodates a book or bible, with a till in the inside for miscellaneous items. The original mortise lock has been removed. Some modern nails were added to the base to aid structural integrity. The desk measures 16" wide x 10" deep and 9 3/4 " tall. The overhanging slant lid top is 17" x 10".
