This very large (32 1/2" by 20 3/4") one-sided game board features a 12 x 12 square checker board surface with extended ends.
The one-piece board is framed by a simple molding and the extended ends are also separated from the playing board by molding pieces. The board was left natural with dark stained contrasting squares.
This board was never hung so was likely used as a "lap" board in its day which also helps explain why the ends were extended (a place to keep inactive checkers).
Surface is original with age appropriate wear.
