This pantry box is a rare and wonderful diminutive size. It measures just 5 3/8" in diameter and 3" tall. The construction type is bentwood with unique broad metal staples for the fasteners.
The top has painted flowers in red, blue, yellow and white, set on green leaves and all against a yellow background. The skirt repeats the red on the top. The base also uses the yellow background with a design of short flower stems and leaves. The visual affect is wonderful.
The condition is good with a small amount of paint loss on the top and a split in the bottom. There is also a small residue of paper that had been glued to the bottom and inside of the box.
An auctioneer friend likes to call this size a "top of the stack" pantry box. The size and decoration are a great combination.
