This Trade sign proclaims "Boats, Bait, Tackle" with great form and color - from both sides.
The slender wooden boat hull is hollow and painted a nice red above the water line and copper below the waterline. Copper bottom paint was the traditional choice for salt water craft until the mid 1900's.
The sign's size is impressive at 46" long, 10 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" at it's widest point.
There are three holes in the top that must have been how it was hung. The black stand is a recent addition to facilitate display. There is some minor paint loss due to age.
Trade signs with this kind of form and color don't come along very often.
