Antonio Pineda Perfection …

Singularly sensational in its silver-making imagination—and boasting an almost ethereal luster with its supple and sinuous repoussage work—this necklace offers an exquisite interpretation of design #641 by the internationally renowned, Mexican modernist Antonio Pineda. Handwrought by Gustavo Sotelo Carbajal, a Taxco silversmith brilliant in his own right, the piece is composed of twenty-one links, interconnected at the back by fixed and floating rings. The links display a fluid series of abstract yet organic forms, each seamlessly integrated with the next, creating a superb, articulating motif. A show-stopping example of the silverwork that emerged post-Mexican silver renaissance, the original Pineda would cost in the thousands of dollars today. Now this necklace delivers the elegant magic of Pineda-style adornments, with timeless perfection.
