Art Deco Dress Clip – Galloping Deer/Stag – Lucite and Sterling Silver – 1920s/1930s

This is one of the most unusual dress clips I've ever encountered; highly evocative of motion, it features a galloping stag atop a transparent green Lucite triangle. Amazing! The setting is made of Sterling silver with finely engraved details – his antlers, hooves, and facial features are all clearly demarcated. Unsigned, I believe he dates to the 1920s/1930s – Deco period imagery often featured leaping deer, gazelles, etc. The silver stag acid tested as Sterling. The clip measures 1 7/8 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches long. The condition is excellent and the clip mechanism snaps securely. You'll be admired with this rare distinctive beauty! Enjoy! $75.00
