Arresting and quite dimensional, this magnificent pin features skilled repousse silver work and turquoise cabochons. It depicts an elaborate high relief floral bouquet in a cornucopia or horn of plenty shaped vase. This style, in conjunction with its silver marks, helps us date it to the 1930’s-early 1940’s. Beautifully made, the detail on the flowers and the leaves is exquisite- note the arcing curves on the cornucopia. Each blossom is adorned with a bezel set turquoise cabochon. It is signed Made Mexico Silver on the reverse-no Eagle assay mark. Large and important, it measures 3 inches long, 2 inches wide, and appx. 3/8 of an inch in height. It weighs 14.5g. The condition is excellent-the locking clasp works well and there are no dents or dings. Items of this vintage, with such excellent craftsmanship and no condition issues, are scarce and hard to find. This one is a rare beauty-a real treasure from the very early days of Mexican silver artistry. Enjoy! $165.00
