This is a spectacular brooch that features a magnificent array of important stones. Two large pear-shaped stones, an abundance of fat navettes, a large chaton, and a baguette form this dynamic stunner. Small chatons form the frame and also form the three dangling chains that descend from the base, which are tipped with fat navettes. All stones are prong set and, except for the small chatons, all are set open backed in a rhodium plated setting. It closes with a joint and catch clasp which is mounted on a ‘V’ shaped base. Clearly designer quality, but unsigned, it has many of the attributes of Delizza and Elster/Juliana jewelry, both stylistically and in construction techniques. Slightly domed, it measures a whopping 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. The condition is excellent – all stones are shiny and bright and the clasp works well.
