What a glorious breathtaking set – crackle glass – handmade glass that is plunged while hot into water – is scarce and hard to find. This set, which likely dates to the 1950s, features an all prong set rhinestone chain, from which is suspended a ‘fringe’ of 28 crackle glass cabochons; six are single drops and 11 are doubled drops, each tipped with a tiny blue rhinestone chaton. The crackle glass is absolutely beautiful – it shimmers with reflected light. This stunner is unsigned but clearly designer quality. The matching ear climber style earrings each have three crackle glass cabochons, bordered by blue rhinestones. The setting is rhodium plated silver tone and the condition is excellent – no blemishes or dead stones and the clip backs snap securely. The necklace measures 15 inches long and 1 inch wide at the front; it closes with a fold over buckle style clasp. The clip back earrings measure one and three-quarter inches long and a half inch wide. A distinctive beauty – classic and elegant. You’ll be pleased. Enjoy! $125.00
