This necklace is a fabulous example of Coro’s molded glass jewelry – which is one of the most desirable lines they created. Dating to the late 1950s/early 1960s, Coro’s fan shaped molded glass is featured in Costume Jewelry 202 by Julia Carroll on page 128. This mesmerizing necklace features glowing iridescent ribbed fan shaped glass; it glimmers with the Peacock colors of purple, blue, and a rich gold topaz. Gorgeous! The base of each link, except the two on the end, is adorned with a cluster of aurora borealis chatons. It is signed on the ‘J’ hook closure Coro with a copyright symbol and it is also signed Coro on the back of the last fan shaped link. It features Coro’s distinctive tail decoration. This beauty measures 17 inches long and a half inch wide. It is rare to find these molded glass pieces, especially in such excellent condition; as you can imagine the glass was easily prone to damage. You’ll be admired with this very special stunner. Enjoy! $145.00
