• How charming – a marvelous Bassett Hound figural pin by Marcel Boucher. This brushed gold tone cutie is ablaze with pave rhinestones on his behind, his side flank, his tail, and his mouth. His nose is a black enamel and his eyes are black and white enamel, perfectly capturing the iconic ‘droopy eye’ of the Bassett hound. At his neck is a red enamel collar with a gold tone buckle; below that is an adorable tiny rhinestone heart. So whimsical and such great detail! He is signed on the reverse Boucher with a copyright symbol, Bassett Hound on a rectangular cartouche, and, on his back leg, 931P. This signature helps us date him to the early 1960s. He measures 1 5/8 inches wide, 1 3/8 inches long, and, as he is quite dimensional, approximately a half inch in profile, or height. The condition is excellent – all rhinestones are sparkling and the gold tone is unblemished.
