These lovely earrings are a marvel of expert craftsmanship; what is so remarkable about them is that they are inlaid with different stones and patterns on the front and back. Exhibiting exquisite detail, the front features coral, mother-of-pearl, and aqua/purple lab opal inlay, with black onyx used to delineate the abstract triangle shaped design. The reverse features inlaid turquoise with silver wire work. Absolutely fabulous! The inlay work is mounted on a middle layer of Sterling silver. Completely unmarked, as is common for older Native American items, I do not know who made them. I suspect they could be Zuni in origin, as the Zunis are renowned for their fine inlay work, but I cannot be certain. These beauties measure 1 7/8 inches long, including the Shepherd’s hook mechanism; the stone portion of the earring measures 1 ¼ inches long and a quarter inch wide. The condition is excellent. You’ll be pleased with this highly unusual and well-made pair. $85.00
