This is an early Mexican Sterling silver bracelet that features five highly detailed panels depicting Aztec gods/warriors/shamans. The central panel represents the Aztec Sun God – Tonatiuh – complete with detailed clawed hands and an extended tongue. Fearsome! The panels flanking the sun god appear to be warriors and the end panels perhaps represent a shaman figure. The craftsmanship is exquisite with intricate well worked designs. The bracelet is signed with a large ‘C’ which has an H inside it, and it is marked 925. I think it likely this stunner dates to the 1930s/1940s – before the Eagle Mark came into use in 1948. The bracelet measures 7 1/8 inches long, 1 5/8 inches wide, and weighs a substantial 58.6g. The tongue in box clasp closes securely. Visually arresting with superb artistry – you’ll be pleased with this distinctive beauty. Well priced. $248.00
