This is a fabulous Art Deco era – 1920s or 1930s – Chinese panel bracelet. It is signed Made in China on the reverse. It consists of five shield shaped panels each prong set with molded glass flowers – chrysanthemums, I think, surrounded by an ornate floral bas-relief setting. The two oblong panels at the end depict a relief work snake or serpent crawling under and around a flower. Amazing design and detailed workmanship! The colors of the glass flowers are vibrant and beautiful – Jade green, coral red, brilliant turquoise, a pink rose quartz color, and a lovely sky-blue. I believe it is made of brass with a gilt wash which has developed a rich antiqued patina. It closes with an invisible tongue in box clasp. This beauty measures 7 ¼ inches long and one and an eighth inch wide. The condition is very good, though there is some wear to the gilt on the reverse, as pictured. The clasp locks perfectly. You will treasure this for years – rare and distinctive, quite a special piece. Enjoy! $177.00 DRAMATIC PRICE REDUCTION! NOW JUST $125.00!! GREAT BUY!
