Here’s a vintage silk scarf that bears the signature of the legendary restaurant, Maxim’s, established in Paris in 1893. Regarded as one of the world’s most famous restaurants, Maxim’s was purchased in 1981 by one of it’s most frequent patrons, Pierre Cardin. Classified as a historical monument in France, the restaurant’s brand is now on so many items besides food including many fashion items such as this lovely scarf offered here for sale. The scarf has a somewhat abstract leaf design executed in a beautiful combination of colors including rich shades of Coral, Wedgwood Blue and warm chocolate Brown. The design is enhanced with outlines of the leaves done in gold paint. And, the scarf is signed in the bottom right hand corner with the same gold paint. A hand rolled and stitched hem completes this marvelous vintage silk scarf from Maxim’s de Paris!
Condition: Very Good
On the right side of the scarf there is a very faint small spot that can be seen in the photo. It’s difficult to identify the culprit, but it doesn’t take away from the unique design of this great scarf.
