In the 60s and 70s, polyester material became very popular although at that time it had been around for many years before! On the positive side, polyester is crease-resistant, dries quickly and keeps it’s shape. On the negative side, during warm weather it can be rather warm as it doesn’t breathe as well as cotton or blends. But, nonetheless, here’s a cute polyester double knit floral print blouse that has never been worn (Deadstock or New Old Stock NOS). It still has the original tag attached to the bottom of the left sleeve. The navy blue and yellow floral Daisy print is happy! Aqua “bubbles” surround the flowers on a white background. The sleeves are long and without cuffs and the collar is a pointed shirt collar that does not button at the neckline. There are 6 small round plastic faux Mother of Pearl buttons at the front of the blouse. Bands of bright yellow and navy blue trim the bottom of the sleeves and the bottom of the blouse. Inner seams are nicely finished with no raw edges present (most are overlocked). If you are looking for that 70s vintage look, this vintage Deadstock blouse will certainly deliver!
This shirt has no issues to note and obviously has never been worn. Although it’s “new old stock”, the white material might be brightened a bit with a gentle wash. By no means does this suggestion infer that the blouse is soiled in any way. I would hand wash as I do most vintage items even when they say they can be machine washed.
In the neckline seam there is a care label that reads: 100% Polyester, Machine Wash Low, Tumble Dry Low, do Not Wring
Or Twist, Iron Cool, Do Not Dry Clean, RN 36021, 40
The paper hang tag reads: 100% Polyester, Double Knit, Machine Washable
On the back of the paper hang tag: Every special care has been taken to assure you the finest hand screened print
obtainable anywhere. It is the nature of hand screening to show slight degrees of shading. 100% Polyester
Machine Wash, Wash/Wear cycle, low temperatures, Drip or tumble dry. Can also be hand washed, drip dried. Do not rub
