This late 1960s-early 1970s Butte Knit velvet blazer is such a great shade of Espresso Bean Brown…..rich and warm just like the brew! The synthetic velvet material is soft with a bit of stretch and give for comfort’s sake and the blazer is slightly fitted with seams on the front of the jacket and on the back. The collar is notched and the peaked lapels are wide and dramatic. There are patch pockets on each side of the front of the garment. Two round gold tone buttons close the front of the blazer while two smaller buttons of the same style adorn the bottoms of each sleeve. The buttons on the sleeves are strictly for decoration and are not functional. The coat is not lined but all inner seams are nicely finished with no visible raw edges. This blazer, although very simple in design, will prove to be very attractive especially with a pretty gold tone brooch on the generous lapel!
Condition: Very Good
There are several marks on the velvet. On the right lapel there is a faint line and this may be a flaw in the velvet. And, on the right patch pocket, there are three very small marks on the material. These slight issues are not very noticeable and don’t take away from this stylish blazer. This coat has been recently professionally dry cleaned.
