A magnificent 100% Douppioni Silk blouse found in unused mint condition was obviously never worn but treasured through the years! The beige silk exhibits the finest qualities of imported fabric although bearing a Union Made Label and an International Silk Association of U. S. A. The blouse is fitted and has darts at the bustline and seams on the front of the garment as well as the back. Seven round genuine Mother of Pearl buttons fasten the back of the blouse. This short sleeve blouse has a nicely detailed rounded neckline and is collarless. Two Oriental inspired details adorn the front of the upper bodice. The inside of the blouse is extremely well finished with French Seams and there are absolutely no raw edges on this lovely blouse. The color of this garment, which is very neutral, will allow it to be used with any number of colors, thereby giving it great versatility. This 1950s Sidney Heller silk blouse is a rare find for any vintage fashion lover. I chose not to press this blouse because the original folds were still in place!
This Dead Stock/NOS blouse is in pristine unused condition and as mentioned in the above description, it still retains the original folds! The original hangtag is still attached to the blouse.
