This is such a beautiful plaid (Madras) silk tie from Ralph Lauren's Purple Label Boutique. Items which bear this label are referred to on the Designer's website as "the Ultimate Luxury." The silk dupioni plaid has a nice crisp appearance with wonderful colors....green, yellow, black, pale blue, white and crimson red, which ultimately combines for a most attractive appearance. This type of silk does contain bumps and irregularities because of the way the material is made and it does tend to resist wrinkles which a good thing for ties! Lined with blue silk. My photos do not show the lovely sheen of this material.

Condition: Excellent

There is no soiling to this tie and by the very nature of the material, as mentioned previously, there are irregularities which are just natural to this type of silk. Under very close scrutiny, there was one place on the blade that could be a slight pull....but, there again, it's very hard to say if this is the result of damage to the material or just part of the material and the way if was made (see photo #6). Otherwise...no issues.
