The long napped beige fur felt in combination with the brilliant Fall colors of the curled feathers which detail this neat little topper are a very pleasing combination! This dish style hat has an inner crown which gives a nice snug fit on the wearer's head, all the while surrounding the face with a nice bonnet effect, too! This feature can be seen in the photos, as well as the marvelous curled feather details which do set this rather basic chapeau apart from the pack. Five different color picks are attached through the felt across the three quarters of the way around the brim of the hat.....mostly front and sides of the brim. The feathers are in gorgeous shades of Olive green, warm brown, rich gold, and two shades of orange....one totally bright shade and the other a more deep orange with definite hints of brown. All in all, these colors work well on the neutral background of the body of the hat. Both the edge of the outer brim and the edge of the inner crown are nicely finished with a matching grosgrain ribbon binding.
Condition: Very Good
Very faint wear to the outer brim edge....and this does not in any way detract from the hat at all. In fact, it most likely will never be noticed by anyone unless you are looking for it....as, I am. One feather, the darker orange one, has a slight loss of color on the quill. Check the photos for these slight issues.
