Here’s a vintage brooch from the 1960s that has a large faceted purple glass stone prong set in a gold tone metal finding. The plating on this stunning brooch is a rich golden color that is very complimentary to the Trillion shaped purple glass stone. The faceting on the underside of this glass stone is has been cut slightly off center to create another interesting effect on the dispersion of light. I have never seen a large stone faceted in this manner. There’s a locking C-Clasp. This brooch is an unsigned beauty but came with a pair of exquisite new old stock earrings that will be listed for sale very soon. The earrings are still on the original paper card with the price on the original string tag. The earrings are unsigned but the paper card has the Goldette name on it. This brooch may have also has a string tag at one time and a paper card that it was attached to. Goldette did often use a shade of purple glass for some of their lovely intaglio pieces of jewelry from the 1960s. But, as I have stated, this brooch as well as the earrings are not actually signed Goldette, so they cannot be clearly said to be made by that maker.
Condition: Very Good There is only the slightest bit of wear on the C-Clasp stick. Very slight.
Measurements 1 3/4” Wide at top of Brooch at widest point. 1 1/2” High at the center of the Brooch top to bottom.
