Vintage Barbizon White Cotton Blend Bed Jacket Lace/Floral Embroidery 1970s VFG Member

This is a really pretty white cotton, polyester and nylon blend bed jacket made under the Barbizon label. Barbizon copyrighted this blend material in 1954 as “Blendaire”. The front yoke consists of rows of linear machine made tucks. At the bottom of this yoke are machine embroidered olive green scallops and pink swirls and pink flowers with green leaves. The long bell sleeves are quite lovely with several segments of the machine linear tucks that are the same as in the front yoke. In between these segments are rows of white nylon machine made lace. Ruffled lace trims the round neck opening and the bottom of the sleeves. The bed jacket closes at the front with two small round white plastic buttons that are made to resemble Mother of Pearl. And, at the neck opening there is a cloth tie string. The bottom of this very feminine bed jacket is trimmed with lace.

Condition: Very Good
This bed jacket appears to have been worn very little and there are no issues to note regarding condition.
