This vintage 1960s dress was most likely a custom made dress by a professional seamstress. The dress is made from a textured gold metallic fabric that is synthetic. The interesting texture in the fabric has a blistered raised appearance. The style is A-Line with Princess seams on the front and back of the dress. The short sleeves are trimmed at the bottom with genuine brown mink that is soft to the touch and a great detail for this shimmering 60s cocktail dress. The neckline has a round stand up collar and the dress is completely lined with cream colored silk material. A hidden metal zipper closes the back of the dress and there is a lovely round button set with golden aurora borealis rhinestones at the back neckline. There’s also a small metal snap on the inner neckline. This vintage 1960s dress will add lots of sparkle to any semi-formal affair!
Condition: Very Good
As previously stated in the description, this dress was custom made and very nicely made, in fact. On the inner seams that are well finished, you will see that the metallic fabric, although sewn on the edges has frayed somewhat. This does not compromise the construction of the dress at all and will never be seen on the outside when the dress is being worn. This dress is exceptionally clean and the mink fur trim is in very good condition and is not shedding or dull.
