Here’s a vintage 1960s stunning turban style hat uses an unusual combination of materials. The top of this hat is made from shiny black woven chip straw. There’s a swath of gold and cocoa brown faille wrapped around the base of the turban surrounding the face of the wearer. These two entirely different materials put together make a very captivating hat. There is no wire around the base. The inside of this turban hat is lined with black faille.
Condition: Very Good
There is only one very small issue to note and it is on the back of the hat on the gold material. Several small marks in the taffeta indicate that possibly the former owner may have used a hatpin at the back of the hat. But, I’m not sure if this is what made these marks. Fortunately they are on the back of the hat at the very bottom and not glaringly noticeable. The inside of the hat is very clean with no soiling at all which is often not the case with close fitting turban style hats.
