This vintage 1960s faux Leopard fur pillbox hat is made under the Jonquil Original label and is more of a plush faux fur than some furs with a lot of nap. The material is very soft and velvety and has a nice leopard print with realistic fur color. The outer edge is wired and the inside of the hat is lined with a most delightful print rayon material. Octagons and small squares filled with flowers in shades of gold blue and orange comprise this print. It doesn’t seem to be what you would expect to be paired with faux Leopard but it’s a nice little surprise when you look on the inside of this vintage hat. There is a beige inner grosgrain ribbon sweatband. This is a simple pillbox hat that will undoubtedly bring a bit of pizzaz to your vintage wardrobe.
Condition: Very Good
There is one issue that is definitely noticeable when you look on the inside of the hat and it can be seen in the photos. There is a fairly large area of soiling on the inner sweatband at the front of the hat. It’s a light brownish area that is about 5 1/2” long. This cannot be seen on the outside when the hat is being worn. The outside of the hat is clean without any surface soiling.
