This 1980s Geiger wool coat has so many nice qualities. The beautiful new wool material that resembles a tweed fabric includes lots of subtle hues such as blue gray, medium brown, golden brown and even a little bit of red, white and blue! As I said this is a subtle woven pattern that just blends so well together. The large notched collar is finished with a wide border of tweed made from the blue gray and brown wool. There are large slash pockets on each side of the front of the coat that are topped with this same tweed trim and on the right pocket, a small brass “Geiger” is attached. The sleeves are long and are detailed with a strip of the tweed with two non functioning round genuine horn buttons. The coat closes at the front with three round horn buttons. There is a vent at the center of the back of the coat. The coat is fully lined in dark blue gray viscose material and there is an extra horn button sewn into the inside of the coat. Being from the 80s, this coat has pads sewn into the shoulders for a broad shoulder look and the coat has a bit of an oversized style. This coat will be comfortable to wear, because although it is wool, the material is lightweight and supple and not bulky at all.
