This is an exquisite evening dress made of what I believe to be a tomato red organza material with a beautiful gold paisley design in the material. I am hoping that the photos will do this dress justice, but I'm sure they won't! The sleeves are long with a slight fullness and at the top and bottom of each cuff there is a row of hand-sewn gold tone metal filigree discs and at the bottom of the cuff are gold colored beads and drops! The belt is amazing--made of the same material as the dress and hundreds of the gold tone metal filigree discs. On the bottom of the belt, the same gold colored beads and drops that are on the sleeves have been hand-sewn. The back of the belt is lined with a plain red satin material which also makes a lining in the skirt and bodice and there is some hand finishing to the lining. The cuffs close with two satin covered snaps and there is a back zipper with five fabric covered buttons and loops. If that's not enough ornamentation, there is a bold looking gold tone link choker sewn to the collar of the dress which appears to be original to the dress. Despite all the decoration, this garment is surprisingly light! An amazing dress which seems to have been inspired by India or some such exotic land!
