This early 1960s Lampshade or Bucket style green finely woven straw hat has a flat crown and wide down turned brim and was made under the Damozel label. There is a wide folded green ribbon outer hand band. At the front of the hat, there is a beautifully folded green silk ribbon ornament that has a lovely shaded pink cotton and velvet rose blossom and tiny rose bud set slightly off center as it’s focal point. Another attractive feature of this pretty hat is the pleat in the woven straw at the back of the hat. The hat is unlined and there is a narrow green velvet wired inner sweat band. This dainty vintage 60s straw hat is very well made and exhibits many small fine details.
Condition: Very Good
The outer hat shows little to no wear and is marvelous condition. The only issues to note are that there is some fading and possibly a little bit of soiling on the inner green velvet sweatband. There is also just the slightest bit of soil on the maker’s label. These issues do not detract from this hat at all as they are not seen when the hat is being worn and barely noticed when viewing the inner hat.
