This early 1960s bubble beret style hat is made by Coronet Exclusives from dark black wool felt with an extremely soft and smooth velour finish. A very striking display of colorful feathers covered in netting adorns the front of the hat. The feathers are bright red with a touch of orange, gold and beautiful black feathers that have a lovely green iridescence. The hat is unlined and has a very wide (1 ½”) black inner grosgrain ribbon sweatband. A nicely made hat that Zella was quite anxious to model as she knew it would look lovely with her pretty red hair!
Condition: Very Good
The outside of this hat is in wonderful condition with no moth damage. And, it’s good that the feathers have netting over them as it’s kept them in such nice condition. The inner sweatband shows just the slightest bit of fading. The most obvious issue is the maker’s label which has suffered definite damage. This can easily be seen in the photo of the label.
