This 1980s navy blue wool Bavarian Trachten jacket is one of the most attractive that I’ve had the pleasure of offering for sale. There are four slit pockets lined in brilliant Cardinal Red wool on the top and bottom of each panel. This is a double-breasted coat that closes with six stag horn buttons. And there are horn adornments sewn on each lapel of the jacket. Although I have lightened some of the photos of this dark navy blue wool coat, I think it’s still difficult to see the subtle stitching done in a scrolling pattern on each of these lapels and on the bottom of each of the long sleeves. At the bottom of the sleeves there are two horn buttons that are non- functional. The back of the jacket is equally impressive when it comes to details. The Princess Seams offer a nice shape to the coat and there is a vent that is beautifully detailed with two more stag horn buttons and a scalloped flap on each side of the vent. There are moderate shoulder pads and the jacket is completely lined in a striking maroon print nylon material. There are two inner slit breast pockets. These versatile Bavarian style jackets always seem to offer a certain classic look for those crisp Autumn and Winter days.
