Shown in the photos is a very cute 14-1/2" German bisque doll with a multi-jointed toddler body. This doll is marked "201" "W&Co" "Thuringia" with a size number "6" at the neck. The W&Co mark is attributed to Erste Steinbacher Porzellanfabrick of Steinbach, Germany. The company changed hands a good bit and the W&Co mark is from when Hugo Weifel owned the company (around 1912).
The doll has sleep eyes with the original setting and an open mouth with 2 teeth and a felt tongue. Her bisque is free from hairlines, cracks, chips or breaks, although she does have a few "pepper spots". Her wig is original but sparse, especially in back. Her body is so sweet....a multi-jointed toddler body with a slightly fat tummy. Her upper arms have had some repair and repaint.
She is dressed in what I believe to be her original combination underwear along with her original pink and white socks and original white center-snap shoes. The pink & white dress she is shown in is newer but it suits her quite well and makes her ready to put on your doll shelf!
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this sweet doll....
