Shown is a Peggy Nisbet doll of Queen Jane Seymour, who was King Henry VIII's third wife. Jane Seymour, who died after childbirth, was the mother of King Edward VI, who became king after the death of King Henry VIII.
This lovely doll comes with her original box. She was purchased around 1972 and has been well cared for in a non-smoking home. The doll was briefly removed from the box for a short period of display (a month or two) and has been in the box, carefully stored away ever since. There are no stains, damage to the clothing or doll, or odors. She has her original wrist tag and could almost be considered mint-in-box! The pink satin dress looks as fresh as the day the doll was made! The cellophane on the box has come away from the cardboard and is torn.
Please check the Bisque Beauties shop for other Peggy Nisbet dolls....the six wives of King Henry VIII. The attention to detail on these small dolls is very nice!
