German 800 silver Lemon squeezers or Strawberry hullers, 6, German patent 195614, c.1910, maker's mark JB.
Originally intended for holding and squeezing lemons, they can also be used for hulling strawberries. If you skewer the strawberry with the spike, pinch together the tweezers, twist and pull, the top and hull of the strawberry is easily removed, making the strawberry ready to serve and be eaten. The tool also works well for holding and squeezing lemons.
each spike is 3 1/2" long, with the tweezers being 7/8" wide. The 6 weigh a total of 82 grams or 2.6 ozs. Troy.
Seldom seen at all, these are very scarce in silver that is NOT plated.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
