Antique French First Standard (.950) sterling silver napkin ring, decorated with engraved depictions of a heron bird among cattail plants and lotus leaves on a milled background. On the front, there is an engraved oval cartouche, bearing ornate stylized script monogram "HG". Napkin ring has gilt interior and partially gilt exterior. Made by Pierre Queille, Paris c. 1834-1846.
This spectacular napkin ring is 2" in diameter, 1 3/8" tall and weighs 46.9 grams or 1.5 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
