Late 18th - early 19th century Spanish Colonial silver ciborium or Eucharist vessel, having hinged domed lid with floral finial as well as putto statue form stem, attached to a circular dish base. There is a stamped inscription "Nieves Solares 1923" on the base rim and engraved initials "D.S" under the foot.
This impressive vessel is approx. 7.5" tall, 4.75" in diameter and weighs 314 grams or 10.13 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
