Victorian Silver Tone Brooch With Rich Purple Crystal C Clamp Closure

Turn of the century Victorian silver tone brooch with a rich purple crystal and a c clamp closure measures 1 3/8 inches by 1 3/4 inches. Look at the Art Nouveau influence in the design around the periphery of the brooch. Early C clamp is in good working condition and could be made to be tighter by a jeweler. This looks like it walked off the set of Downton Abbey; a very nice period piece indeed. Came from a fine estate in upstate New York. If you are looking for Victorian era pieces; this is a gem.
