This is a Jean-Claude Novaro art glass paperweight vase with blue and yellow swirls layered in side. The vase is 7 inches high and 5 inches wide at it's widest point. The vase is very heavy weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces. Jean-Claude Novaro was a French artist considered one of the greatest glass makers of the 20th century. Novaro’s lamps, bottles, and vases utilized Art Deco-inspired shapes to create swirling, colorful forms. He pioneered techniques which included adding and layering unique materials directly into molten glass, such as metal oxides, precious stones, and luminescent powders which glow in the dark. This is a wonderful example of his artistry; we hope you enjoy it.
