Eighteenth century English plate warmer. Painted tin with cabriole leg. Door on front has a fixed metal key that latches it shut, and swings open to reveal the interior, which is open to the back. Appears to be missing a shelf. Aesthetically pleasing piece that fits nicely in a dining room or fireplace setting. Measures 26 1/2" tall by 13" wide, and 9 1/2" deep. The width across the back feet, which are wider than the width of the box is 19". Handles, although correct style-wise, not original to piece.
