Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Compote "17A"

This is a beautiful Georg Jensen sterling silver compote, made in Denmark in the 1930s. It was designed by Johan Rohde in the classic Jensen style. The circular bowl has a hand hammered finish and sits on an openwork stem in the form of stylized leaves and berries, ending in a stepped dome circular foot.
This piece is in excellent condition. It measures 4 1/2" x 4" and weighs 5.9 Troy ounces. It is marked "925.S," "STERLING DENMARK," the 1930s Jensen mark with a crown and "17A."
