A red enameled sterling silver salts set, with a geometric flower design in each bowl, this lovely piece is made in Denmark by Anton Michelsen (Copenhagen, 1893-). This piece dates to circa 1950. Each bowl is about 7/8" high x 2" diameter (20 grams) and comes with a small matching flat rectangular spoon with a red enamel decorative element. Both the spoons and the bowls are marked Sterling Denmark and have the AM with a crown mark, for Anton Michelsen. It is quite hard to find a matching set like this. The enamel is in perfect condition, quite vivid and these pieces are a must-have for any silver collection.
