This Arnold Zimmerman hand-made ceramic vase has a gorgeous glaze of mustard yellow, brown and cream. It form is both fascinating and humorous. It is expressive and bold in form. It stands on three feet and has a variety of gestural marks, textures, and dripping layers of colors. Zimmerman was born December 13, 1954 in Poughkeepsie, New York and lives today in Brooklyn New York. His work is featured in museum collections around the country, most notably the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He has exhibited internationally and in 2005 he received a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award. This ceramic vase is in great condition, 11 inches tall and 5-6 inches in diameter, shifting with its organic contours. It stands solidly and is in great condition. This ceramic vessel draws references to the organic, to the human form. This is a really great piece for an art collection; a complementary ceramic vase is also available if desired, making this a great pair. Signed by AZ at bottom, on feet. Circa 1995.
