This is a beautiful Tiffany Favrile Art Glass Salt Cellar. It has a graceful ruffled of scalloped upper edge that undulates in an organic matter The vibrant gold iridescent glass body is stunning with highlights of purple, blue and green iridescence. The condition is very good to excellent, with no chips and only faint wear to the Favrile surface. I have included a close up of one issue that looks like a small firing line. I can feel no crazing on either the inside or out so it is internal; and can only be seen when held up to the light and not on the surface of the Favrile. It measures 7/8" high and 2 5/8" in diameter. It is Signed L.C.T. on the bottom. This lovely salt is pictured on page 22, Illustration #42 of the book The Open Salt Compendium" by Sandra Jzyk & Nina Robertson. "Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 .
