This is a beautiful coin silver pie server by James Watts of Philadelphia, PA. It is made in a variation of his "Sonata" Pattern and is in excellent condition. The handle and the blade are ornately engraved with brite-cut and acid etched work. A true example of excellent craftsmanship. Circa 1860.
This pie server measures 10" x 2 7/8". It weighs 83 grams, or 2.67 Troy ounces. It is marked "COIN" and with the Watt maker's mark.
