Circa 1930s Rare Betty Boop Large Plaster Statue Figurine Advertising Display ~ Good condition
Saunter back to the the glitzy days of swanky jazz, dark alley speakeasies, and exuberant flapper girls, with this unique memento from one of the biggest icons of the 1930s - the irresistible Betty Boop! This adorable representation of the beloved animated cartoon character is intricately molded and carved from a lightweight plaster and hand-painted. For the occasion, Betty is wearing a shimmering matte gold halter dress with a short pleated bell skirt with matching gold shoes. She stands atop a golden pedestal in one of her typical awkwardly demure poses. Her face is accurately depicted here with large, child-like dark brown eyes, long lashes, button nose, and pouty red lips. She is perfectly coiffed with her usual finger-waved short styling.
Standing 13.5" tall, this statue measures 4" wide and is 4" thick. It weighs 9.7oz..
This circa 1930's advertising display is in good condition with scattered paint wear and loss, as well as a small crack in the left side of her neck. (See photos for details.)
