Signed Nancy Foster Sterling & 14K Gold Wedgwood & Co. Large Ceramic Pottery Fragment Pendant ~ Very Good Condition
For your shopping pleasure, we present a unique wearable art pendant, complete with the artist's signature stamped on the reverse side. Crafted from sterling silver with 14k yellow gold accents, this large, shield-like pendant features a fragment of antique ceramic pottery made by the infamous Wedgwood & Co. The bottom portion of the pottery fragment includes the Wedgwood & Co. brand trademark, as well as the following china registration marks: IV (indicating the class of china), M (Indicating the month of June), 16 (indicating the 16th day of the month), J (indicating the year 1854), and 3 (indicating the bundle design of the registry filed.) This portion of pottery is topped by a sterling silver scroll-like piece with 14k gold accents at the ends. A smaller portion of pottery fragment featuring a floral pattern is located at the top of the pendant. This pendant was made in the United States by American jewelry artist Nancy E. Foster, who has been focused on her craft since the 1970's.
This sturdy pendant measures 2.75" long by 1.25" wide by 3/8" deep. The artist's handwritten signature "Nancy E. Foster" and "14K & STERLING" are stamped on the reverse side of the pendant. This piece weighs 22.8 grams.
This vintage piece is in very good condition with a small amount of surface wear and discoloration of the pottery noted.
