1940s Rare Soap Bubble Bead Necklace, Double Row Bracelet, Sterling Earrings & Matching Pin Parure ~ Excellent Condition.
For your consideration is a 4-piece soap bubble bead set that includes a necklace, earrings, bracelet and matching pin. This is a very rare set, made up of iridescent beads that emulate soap bubbles! So fun!
The earrings are simple in design, with solitary beads measuring 1/2" in size. They are attached to sterling silver clips, stamped STERLING on the back. The clips are springy and secure and the sterling has an age-related patina.
The double row bracelet is a wrap wire style with long, flat pieces of lucite separating groups of beads. It is about 1" wide across both rows and will fit any small to medium-sized wrist (stretch design). The beads on the bracelet range from 5/8" to 5/16" in size.
The necklace contains graduated beads, ranging from 11/16" to 5/16". It is worn by placing over the head and does not have a clasp. We believe it was re-strung at some point in time since the beads are strung on nylon. They were probably strung on string originally.
The brooch or pin also contains graduated beads, ranging from 9/16" to 3/8" in size. They are attached to a lucite backing with an attached safety clasp. The clasp is in perfecting working condition, but the pin is missing one bead on the end (see pics for detail).
Circa 1940s, this is a fabulous set and very hard to find. Overall, it is in wonderful condition and a cool vintage set for any collector.
