To market, to market...and off we go! This wonderful, antique straw basket is a larger size measuring 7" long and 5" wide. It stands about 8.5" high with its handle. Circa 1880s, it is in good condition with a hinged lid opening on each side. Not perfect, but overall nice. It is a bit dusty on top and is missing its latch closure on one side. We have it displayed with a small Steiff bunny, but the rabbit is not included in this sale. It would also be charming with a little plush puppy coming out of the lid. These antique straw doll baskets are so precious and this is a harder size to find. The smaller ones are more commonly found. This basket is displayed with my 32" German bisque and it fits her perfectly, but the doll is not included and not for sale. Please see all photos for detail.
