Very nice French Carriage Clock dating c1880. The eight day movement is housed in a brass case with original gilding. There is some deterioration to the gilding on the top of the case, but generally it is all in good condition. The face is white enamel with fine, black roman numerals and outer minute ring. The hands are very fine blued steel. The face is perfect, no chips or cracks. The back-plate is engraved " Made specially for Bigelow Kennard & co. Boston" The movement strikes the hour and half hour on a cathedral gong. It is in great working condition. case measures approx. 5" tall 3 1/2" wide and 3 1/4" deep.
