This is an American Victorian tureen made by Wilcox Silver Plate Co.circa 1890. It is hand engraved and hand pounded floral repousse as you can see by looking at the picture of the interior. The movable handles are gripped by the lion's teeth. The German inscription states Der Pudel Club seinem Robert zum 26 Juli 1891. It is 13 inches high and 9 wide. The silver is in very good condition, with some light wear. This is the only one we have seen like this in 35 years in business. Ladle included.
